Leonberger Dog

The breed was created in the 1840s to resemble the lion of the Leonber town crest. As a matter of fact, it is a cross between a Newfoundland and St Bernard, and a backcross to a Pyrenean Mountain dog. Nowadays, this is a fairly popular breed.
